These stereotypes are easily found in Asian countries where many believed patience and moderation are essential as social being. Many people in these countries believe that mental illness is from the weakness and vulnerability. Accordingly, it can be easily treated by changing the way of thinking. On the other hand, many western nations are embracing mental illness in societal level. Many psychists claim that mental illness can be easily tamed through extensive consultation and medications. Also, many countries educate physicists in medical schools where professionals receive extensive education. However, many patients overlook their symptoms which led to rising mental and physical problems including likelihood of abuse, self-harm or suicidal thought. Therefore, society has to embrace mental illness to ensure many people receive right treatment in right time.
