How necessary do you think are family gatherings?

About family gathering, I think the more family gathering you have, the better.
The more family gathering, the closer family relationship becomes and we can take care of each other easier.
However, if the family lives far away, it is difficult to meet then often.
For my family, my brother’s family are in Vietnam and the other family members live in 5-6 hours distance by a car.
In addition, not everyone in the family can take time off every holiday because of their own work, so it is even more difficult to see their faces.
So, our family often calls to say hello and meet in not holiday.Every time I see my family after a long time, I feel good and grateful that I have a family. So, If we have a chance, I think it would be good to gather often.
