How serious is plastic pollution in your country?

I searched news to answer the question and realized that my country is not the safe zone of it. There were 53 tons per year of wastes made of plastic that has gone to sea through one river in South Korea. They cause many problems especially to various sea creatures. For example, turtles were died because they ate floating plastic pieces or were fastened by. Moreover, micro plastic that takes long time to be completely decomposed also threaten our health. Researchers found it from most of vegetables and drinking water. Nevertheless, I expected that the recycle rate of South Korea would be much higher than others, but I’m wrong. Though the seriousness of plastic pollution, it was only 9% last year and is a little bit higher than world average rate (8%). Perhaps, the best solution would try not to use them, but it might be really hard because, at this moment, I am writing this with plastic keyboard and mouse as drinking a plastic bottle of water.
