In my opinion, it is different from time to time. In the past, many people in my country had a huge antagonism for North Korea because there were some cases that North Korean army killed out our soldiers. However, nowadays , many people try to welcome defectors for some reasons. First of all, these days the relationship between the Korean government and the North Korean government is better with hard efforts. In Korea, many policies of protecting and taking care of defectors have implemented, which are contributing to peacemaking atmosphere. Furthermore, as media made drama about love story between North Korean and South Korean, many people tend to believe that North Koreans are kind and friendly. That is, because of media, many people feel a sense of closeness with North Korea. However, nowadays, as the negotiation between the governments broke down and threat of nuclear grew, welcoming atmosphere fades away. To sum up, welcoming atmosphere differs from time to time.
