In each sentence, choose the word you think is wrong then rewrite the sentence to make it grammatically correct.
1. Sometimes I get so bored in class that I fall asleep.
2. I agree with you; we must practice more if we want to speak well.
3. Do you really think that candidate is qualified to be President?
4. I thought Leaving Las Vegas was a very depressing movie.
5. John said he wasn't interested in working for a large company.
I have just one question about grammar.
I met a sentence when I prepared my class for my student. The sentence is ‘The responses of others bring value to your mode of self-expression, be it photography, writing, painting or baking.
At first, I didn’t understand this point, ‘be it~~’. I just guessed that it is the inversion and omission phrase. After searching about it, I realized that its original version(sentence) is ‘The responses of others bring value to your mode of self-expression, whether it be photography, writing, painting or baking. And I can understand what it means. It means that being responded my works from others is very important and it can be a meaningful motivation to me. But I didn’t understand exactly why ‘be’ is there. ‘Be’ can’t be used as a verb alone. Is the word, ‘should’ omitted? I think the phrase, ‘whether it be~’ doesn’t make sense.

Hi there, Ms. [이름]!
Thank you for your composition! The expression \"be it\" in that sentence is correct. It means \"may it be...\", and/or \"whether it is...\". It can be used when you are trying to enumerate some things and any of these things may refer to what you mean to imply. Here\'s another example: When I\'m stressed-out, eating something sweet relieves me, be it chocolates, cake, or ice cream. I hope this made things clear. Take care and see you in class!
