And I can understand what it means. It means that being responded my works from others is very important and it can be a meaningful motivation to me. But I didn’t understand exactly why ‘be’ is there. ‘Be’ can’t be used as a verb alone. Is the word, ‘should’ omitted? I think the phrase, ‘whether it be~’ doesn’t make sense.
