Teacher May!~ Hi!~ Thank you for your teaching today. I have a question. Today, I couldn\'t understand what you were saying. In the last moment of today\'s class, you told me that...... \"people from Busan, when they hear the people from Daegu speak, they think that they raise their voice which for Daegu people is normal\" => is it right? what does it mean?

Hi [이름]! It was a great time talking to you again today.

People from Busan, when they hear the people from Daegu speak, they think that they raise their voice which for Daegu people is normal\".

Yes. You are right. I\'ve experienced talking to a Korean man who comes from Daegu, and I\'ve noticed that his accent is different from any other Koreans.

His intonation sometimes goes high and low. I asked some of my students who are from Busan. I said, \"Is this the way how people from Daegu speak? They sound angry.\"

They said Daegu people raises their voice when they speak. But for Daegu people, it\'s their way of speaking. It\'s normal. And what I mean with the word normal is \"typical or usual\".

I\'m not really knowledgeable about Korean accents. My opinions are just based on what my students noticed about Daegu people\'s way of speaking.

Have a happy Seolnal holiday to you and your family! Enjoy. ^^
