Emotion!!! I think how the audience feels about the presentation is the most important when delivering a speech or giving a presentation. According to my experience, when the presentation seems to be boring at first students usually don't listen to it at all and do their cell phone. So how many students would pay attention to your presentation highly depends on how you start. And when they start to listen to it, mostly they keep listening until you finish the presentation. Of course, how logic it is or how much credibility it gives also important but not as much as emotion. I think that I'm the only person who leads a presentation or a speech. There should be mutual communication between the presenter and the audience. That could be showing your agreement or understanding with your head nodding or questioning about the subject. If there is no such communication, it's like speaking to the wall. I feel better when I start my day talking with you even though my brain is still dreaming.
