Lunar New Year,known as Seol-nal is one of Korea's major holiday. Since a fraction of the population still live in their hometown, most of the koreans head to their home these days. Also, I take a bus to go to my hometown, Gangneong. I usually come bearing gifts. Nobody wants to meet their parents empty-handed. When all relatives round up, we visit our ancestral tumb to pay respect. We perform the traditional rite thorough food offerings and special bowing,Geol. To prepare all the foods, women have to cooked for a whole day at least. It has long been a women's duty. This holiday we eat Ddeokguk, which bestows one year to our age(we regard that when we eat this soup, we finally get one year) I remember I wanted to get older I tried to eat as many soup as I can when I was young.

A full week without technology, I\'m surprised you survived. I hope you didn\'t eat much over the holiday. It would be hard to get rid of that holiday pounds.
