In normal situation (no treat from other country, no enemy, peaceful situation) I think that it is not much important. But if we have a treat from something it it powerful way to gather all national people at one mind. Traditional ways of life can make people have a same mind. So if there is some difficult situation people can gather with one mind if they share their life style. (Hm....It is not easy to say my opinion...)
