I think that setbacks are always helpful to complete the work perfectly.
For example if you work alone without reviewing with other people, that work can have many mistakes. Moreover if you not really genius all of things there should have something to misunderstanding of specific things.
To prevention a person error there is gate while you work at company. For example if there is big investment to buy some equipment you should go through the gate which is composited by many related department members. It can be helpful to prevent human error. And if you work at a company you will work with other people. They can help you or going well for project.
