If exams are no longer used, what do you think should be used?

If exams are not used, there will be another form of evaluation will emerge. In the past, we had a uniformed college entrance exam so called a scholastic aptitude test. All the college applicants took the exam on the same day nationwide and colleges screened students based on the test score. However, today each college develops and applies its own evaluation scheme that can differentiate itself from others and fit its requirements in admitting best students. Companies also adopt new methods to recruit their employees these days as opposed to the tradition way of relying on GPA and interviews. However, applicants again take extra classes or study on the new method to stand out from others. No matter what different types of assessment is introduced, people will still compete against each other and they have to prepare for them. Writing essays, extra curricular activities, awards records, etc are all sort of exams. We might not be able to get away from exams until we leave this world.
