If I were your supervisor and asked you to do something that you disagreed with, what would you do?

First of all, I would listen to well and try to understand reasons why my boss disagrees with me because nothing is absolutely right or wrong at work. Each person has different views. I should admit first that I could be wrong and he could be right. And then If I still think what my boss said has some problems or issues to follow, I will talk to him in a calm and respectful manner, if possible through one-on-one meeting because most people get emotional when they are challenged by their employees in front of other employees. Before talking with him, I would do some researches and prepare some back-up data that can support my statement. Most people are likely to accept other’s opinions when they are supported by the majority of people and explained in a more objective way. If he is a reasonable boss, I think he will agree to what I say or at least try to reflect my opinions. Or we can narrow the gap through enough discussions or even debates with your boss. Above all, be respectful.
