If the lottery prize became bigger, would more people buy tickets? What might happen then?
학생이 쓴 원문
People will buy more tickets if the price gets bigger. This is because of the hope to win a prize. As society becomes more financially challenging, there will be rising numbers of people buying lotteries. However, there can be an adverse impact too. First, there is a concern that people lean more on the lottery. Many people do lotteries with hopes of achieving their goal or relieving financial burden. Now there are less people doing lotteries because the prize is relatively smaller than the possibility of winning. However, if this prize outweighs uncertainty, there will be rising people getting a lottery. Then there is concern about retaining budget for these prizes. According to the Korea Lottery Commission, the budget for the prize mostly comes from ticket sales. If they want to increase the prize money, they inadvertently need to increase the prize of lottery ticket. This is because they cannot actively advertise people to do lotteries. This is another form of inflation.
