I will definitely look for another job after my retirement. But the problem is that there will be no decent jobs for elderly people even if they want to work. It is the biggest social problem in most advanced countries. Korea is not an exception to that. People’s life expectancy is increasing and it is becoming an elderly society. However, people are kicked out of their companies at their early ages and the welfare system like a pension program is not adequate for them to enjoy the rest of their lives without working. Even if their financial situations are good enough not to require them to work, people need a job for other purposes. Having a job can make us feel that we are a part of our society and we are still needed by someone. What would you do if you do not work after your retirement? Will you go on a vacation for 365 days or participate in voluntary activities? Yes, you can, but you might feel less excited than when you have your vacation out of your busy works.
