It depends on how significant the better cause is. However, if it has something to do with saving many lives, I am willing to sacrifice not everything but some part of valuable things in my life such as time or money. In particular, when it comes to saving a life of my family member who needs a organ transplant, I would donate my organs as long as I would be able to stay healthy after donation.
