If I have a foreigner friend, I would like to recommend to go nearby Hongik University where we simply call \"Hongdae\" in Korean.
Because it is a popular place where young generations enjoys to play around.
Actually Hongik University is famous for \"art\" in Korea, not just for painting, but also for designing and musics.
There are a lot of new things that young artists start to perform with their own ideas like various theme of cafeterias, street buskings, pubs, clubs and so on.
I would also recommend to go there especially in the evening when all the stores including pubs are opened.
