If you will have a pet that is not a dog or a cat, what would it be and why?

If I have a pet except a dog or a cat, I would like to raise a ferret. Actually, my brother loves animals. Because of him, our family could raise a variety of animals such as a chinchilla, turtles, hedgehogs, iguanas, lizards and so on. Then, we also raised a ferret. I loved him because he was so cute. When I woke up, he welcomed me in my bed. He was just like a puppy, but he did not bark. Although my parents did not like its smell, but I was not sensitive to smell. Also, he did not afraid of people, but he always loved people. I was able to release my stress by playing with him. This is why I want to have a ferret as my pet.
