Is it easy to forgive people for doing something bad to you? Why or why not?

I do not think it is easy to forgive someone who do bad to me actually. But I do not like to waste of my time to blame someone. I think forgiving is for me, not other people. To be happier and enjoy our short life, we should try to do something making us better than yesterday and expecting our promising future. Of course, it is not easy because I get some heart break from my closest people such as a friend, family member or boy/girlfriend. I have gone through to break a relationship which is unhealthy. I realized I have no ability to be my people around me always. And all is changed. So I will be more open minded and understandable. Forgiving is not easy action to people but the best healing way for myself I believe.
