These types of examinations benefit students from a younger age when they need to digest a wide array of facts. However, as they grow older, there is a growing need to apply information differently and narrate the answers thoroughly because the complex issues will not conclude with simple yes-or-no answers. Experts say Korea has a high education level since 98.8% of Koreans are literate and one of the top performers among OECD nations. However, this is mostly based on cramming education from standardized examination. When Koreans are exposed to complicated issues, they tend to forgo.
