Is the main value of the arts to teach us about the world around us?

I think the arts teach us about the world around us. The art is inspired from the world around us. It is contained all of the humans feeling, culture and being. This is the main value of the arts and we can learn a lot of things from the arts. For example, when I can't hit on a new idea I usually visit the art exhibition. I'm not well known about the art, but it always makes me think a different way and this give great inspirations. We watch the same view, the artist think a different way and express it a unique way. Sometimes they find unique things that I can't find it. So I think the arts teach us about the world around us.
