Journal

I have made lots of assumptions. I assume how my wife feels. I assume how people feel. I assume how they think of me. I assume over and over. Yet, is what I assume true? No. My assumption is accepted by myself as true without proof. That is a funny point of it. For instance, when we make mistake we believe that it is offensive to others. Then assume that they must be angry because of the mistake we make. Unless they say true we don\'t really know that whether it is true or not. It comes from our personal experiences or cultural background. So the assumption is not about others. It is a mirror of myself. Sometimes assumptions without proof and confirmation from others can grow as anxiety and fear. It is bad side of our assumption. Jesus says, You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. To be free from my assumption, I must know the truth. God and His word are truth. Once we rely on this truth first rather than assumption, freedom is ours which world can never give. Amen!
