ESSAY: Should a city try to preserve its old, historic buildings or destroy them and replace them with modern buildings? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. I think we have to preserve city’s old, historic buildings, some buildings of memorial value. For example, in Seoul Korea, name is BUKCHEON, there are some old Korea traditional house. These house’s name is hanwok. Hanwok is traditional house of Joseon Dynasty. These houses are showing traditional architecture and describing culture at that time. A lot of foreigners are visiting Hanwok for sightseeing and recognized for its value. If we look at the example of a hanwok, we have to preserve traditional, old, historic buildings. If it is very old and structural problem, we should repair it, but when we repair, we have to keep the method of traditional architecture.
