Nowadays, due to technological advancement, reading and writing skills are considered less important than in the past. But, i think those skills are more important than yesterday because these are important factors to get a job and to communicate with other people.
To begin with, reading and writing skill are important factors to get a job. Many job interviewers require talent candidates who have a great skills in reading and writing. In a study, over 90 percent of candidates who have a high score in language of national colleage entrance test get more accept from company.
On top of that, people who have high ablilty in reading and writing can communicate with other easily. Currently, people often communicate with each other with messenger. In my case, i use coolmessenger which is one of messengers used in company and it is very userful to communicate with people in other department.
From these reasons, i think knowing how to read and write is more important now than it has ever been.
