March 1st

Just now, I searched the calender and I found that we don't have a class in March 1st so I'd like to write about this today. In Korea, March 1st is a national holiday. Korean was under Japanese colonial rule from 1910 to 1945. In 1919 March 1st, however, there was a big demonstration which protest to Japan. It spread all of the Korean Peninsula. It was not only peaceful but also determined. At that time, many koreans were killed by Japanese police because of trying to put down the demonstratoins. We have to remember that day and the people who sacrificed for Korea. In order to this, we resigned March 1st as a national holiday and hold many commemorative events. Therefore, we should meet on Wednesday, March 2nd. Oh, It's the day of beginning a new semester.
