I lately heard the news that an unidentified assailant shot at the audience in theater in U.S.A. As a result, twelve people were died and fifty nine people were hurt. The U.S.A police announced that he committed a crime after watched the movie, the Dark Night. Like this, nowadays, mass media have influenced strongly the live of people. In modern times, we have been exposed variety mass media like TV show, movie, book as well as computer game. Moreover in lately, we can easily use to TV show, movie and game than book, and they are so provocative, many younger people have been influenced by them. Some younger people have decided to their future dream and job because of TV show and movie which related a firefighter, teacher, scientist, artist or musician. And then some adults have changed their values of life after watching TV or movies. Of course, in case of Korea, one movie which showed sexual assault of the disable had made a social phenomenon. Therefore, Korean police researched and punished criminal severely. However, on the contrary on this, some younger people have learned provocative behavior and language from them. So, nowadays, it is occurred many copycat crime like gang-beaten and robbery in the world. We can’t suppress enjoying mass media, but we can control the rating system for viewing. We should make a relevant rating system of media viewing, and strongly manage that. So, we can get a proper effect by mass media.
