In Korea, a typhoon is the most common natural disaster. Due to climate change, the frequency of it keeps increasing year after year. Whenever there is a weather forecast for a typhoon, we Koreans get nervous about it so the Government and people get extremely busy preparing for it. I think we get used to preparing for a typhoon. However, I am afraid to say that we\'re not ready for the earthquake. Despite the development of technologies, we can barely notice just a few minutes before an earthquake takes place. When it comes to magnitude and unpredictability, earthquake is one of the most frightening natural disasters in Korea. That\'s because Korea has been considered to be a safe area for earthquakes. However, for whatever reason, the frequency and magnitude of earthquakes are rapidly increasing in Korean territory. Korea may be not a safe area for earthquakes anymore. This changed view on earthquakes seems to frighten Koreans more and more.
