Okara

The last night I happened to watch a TV program, which a reporter visited a village famous for a strange vegetable. The cultivator was a middle aged man who had married a Philippine lady. He wanted to comfort his wife who missed her native food, especially okara badly, so he brought the seeds secretly from Philippine and grew them in his field. Okara looked like Korean green pepper. but the taste is quite different from it according to the reporter’s tasting. The wife from Philippine said that Okara'd be better harvested while young before being matured. She cooked Japchae with them Okara is so important to Philippine diet that it is like kimchi to Korean. She looked a little bit shy but very happy. Her neighbors said her husband, so loved her that every villager knew that.

Good morning Ms. [Name]!!! This is a very interesting story. "OKRA" as what it was called here in the Philippines is one of the native vegetables. It tastes good, especially when boiled and dipped with fish sauce and lime. It is kinda slippery when you eat it. It is rich in  fiber, vitamin B6 and folic acid, vitamin A and C.
