People say knowledge is power-is this true?

Thre are two reasons why I think knowledge is power.

In my experience, I made Japanese friend while I had stayed in Canada.

I could learn some Japanese words, and It make me possible to make another Japanese friends easily.

Secondly, it help our society work.
