Planning a career.

There are many things that one should consider when planning a career, ranging from the expected income to personal predisposition. Among many, factors that I value the most are the degree of autonomy and the independence which usually go hand in hand with each other. By referring the autonomy, I mean predominantly about how freely I am able to organize tasks in accordance with my daily routines. There would be no problem with a fixed working hours for me, however, I don\'t want a person next to me urging what I should do next and correcting what could have been done better. Meanwhile, the independence in this respect refers to no pressure from a third party. As a researcher, I investigate social phenomena based on theoretical frameworks that I find useful for each case, meaning I won\'t publish an article in favor of particular stakeholders within a certain study area. So, if there is a position that guarantees such environments, I will go for it without hesitation.
