Preparing the next pandemic.
학생이 쓴 원문
One thing that is the most crucial in preparing for the next pandemic is learning from the current one as South Korea offers a prime example. In 2015, when the MERS, a kind of epidemic well known in the Middle East, penetrated the country with a large number of infected people, it failed to handle the situation successfully. Citizens were panicked by the high fatality rate of the disease and its unfamiliarity, the prevention guidance was not informed to the public quickly, and what makes the situation worse was that the government didn\'t seem to be ready to combat the virus and even disregarded its responsibility to some extent. After the outbreak simmered down, the governmet officials who were in charge of public health decided to develop a sturdy system that can implement adequate policies immediately whenever the next epidemic occurs. Consequently, lessons learned from the previous crisis is proven to be effective as Korea has become a role model in how to deal with the COVID19.

Hi Drexel! A wonderful Monday to you! ^ ^ Thank you for spending a little of your time with your homework. I really appreciate the effort!
You made a good point here. We know that a new kind of virus will emerged anytime soon; it\'s a given fact. The most we can do is to be prepared for it. The government should focus more on the funding of such endeavor. ^ ^
