Korean society is still way different from other western countries in terms of roles and responsibilities of women.Korea is largely and deeply rooted in Confucianism. Confucian ideas, philosophy and cultures prevail in every aspect of our life. In a Confucian society, The Sky was the Man and the Earth the Woman. Men take the primary responsibility to support his/her family financially and women take care of housework and raise children. The similar thought still exists in a modern society.A Korean mother typically devotes all of her time and energy to raising and educating their children, and doing housework like cleaning and doing dishes. Men should work outside to earn money. However, due to the difficult economic situations these days, most men strongly hope their wives to work as well because it is not easy for family to survive with a single-income. There is a term called Super Woman in Korea, who has a decent job, makes lots of money, educates her children well, and do housework.

Wow!

If that woman can do all of those stuffs, yes she is a Super Woman. ^_^

It is really important that we should be flexible always.

These days, men and women are equal.
There are countries who hire women as welders, right?

It is really important that a family lives a comfortable life.

Anyway, this topic is really interesting. Maybe we can talk more about this in class.
Thanks for a superb composition. I enjoyed reading it.
