In my opinion, melodies are more imortant when creating music. Because, the first thing we heard from a music is not lyrics but the melodies. When people select the music to listen, they usually heard the first 2-3 second of melodies and if they are attracted it, they continue to listen the music. Additionally, although we can\'t fully understand lyrics, we can be attracted the music if the melodies are good. For example, I don\'t understand J-pop, but I can notice that meaning of the song and mood. Therefore, if the artists want to create a popular music but have low-profile, they need to make interesting melodies.
