Should companies focus more on clean technology?.

I agree that various organization should shift their interest toward clean technology to mitigate the impact of climate change. Recently many firms started to focus on environmentally friendly technology from increased demand from governments, customers, and investors. Governments are coming up with plans to stimulate companies. For example, the United States is expected to introduce a “Build Back Better Plan” to invest in building electric charging stations. Alongside this, large financial institutions aim to cut down the borrowings to carbon-intensive industries. However, with the increased interest in clean technology, some firms make falsified and exaggerated claims to promote their technology. Nikola, an electric pick-up truck manufacturer, was accused by the regulatory body last year of deceiving investors with technology, which negatively impacted investors. Accordingly, I believe there should be more concentration on clean technology, but government regulation is necessary.
