As far as I know, religion has been exempted from paying taxes for many years. However, there are common opinions that religious people should be taxed recently. As a matter of fact, exempting particular groups from taxes does not fit the basic principle of tax law. However, we need to give some grace period to religious groups before implementing this altered taxation system to reduce conflicts with them. We need to be considerate of religious groups that are generally economically vulnerable.
