I think the fashion industry use models who look like regular people. There are several reasons. First of all, most of people have ordinary body but models have different body from regular people. Models have long legs and arms. Also, they are really tall. It does not help to people who wearing clothes. People want to show similar shape like them. so they have to choose it easily.
