Should the use of species of animals be forbidden for research purposes and cruel experiments? Why?

I thought that animal experiment is essential for human health because it is the first step to do before apply it for human. There are a lot of clinical trial using animals in order to introduce it to the human body. We all believe that to apply new medication or a medical technique, pre-experiment should be performed to ensure if it is safe. However, I have found out many professionals who insisted that there are alternative way to prove safety. I know don\'t if it is true but I think doctors and researchers need to consider alternative way if it makes sense. Animals also are life like humans. I don\'t think that humans have right to kill animal\'s life. So, humans have to find another way to do their research instead of animals. Many research prove that the use of species of animals is not appropriate way and effective.
