Some people "collect" friends in social networks. Is it possible to have 500 friends in real life?

I think that most people have 200 to 300 phone numbers, on average, stored on his/her cell phone. Some boast that they have 500 or more contact numbers. It is not impossible to “collect” as many as 500 or more friends thanks to social networking services these days. However, the more fundamental question is whether they are true friends who are concerned about you when you are in a difficult situation and willing to come over to you when you are in desperate need of them. The mere number of friends you have doesn’t mean anything. Even having just one friend who is willing to make sacrifices for you and weep together over your misfortunes is better than a hundred of friends who stand by you when they need you. As social networking service is prevalent, the term “friend” is often used to describe contacts rather than relationships. A true friend is someone who is always there during the ups and downs. No matter what you do, your true friend will believe and support you.

Hi there Sir [이름]!

You are right.

The number of friends we have is not important.
Even though, we have a lot of friends for sure there are only few who are true to you.

It is really difficult to find people who will be with us especially at difficult times.

We should keep our friends who are true to us.

Have a great day. See you in class.
