hi Lei thank you for class today.~ I have questions when I say article. How can I read this article? 'the one','the mp3' Someone said [di won] but the others said [du won]. Dr. [Name] sometimes pronounce "the one" as [du won] in TV drama. I'm confused. And...... it's a same question. "the mp3". [di] or [du]??? Answer me plzzzz.

Hi [이름]!! It's good that you are asking questions like that, it will help you a lot in your English skills especially in your pronunciation. Anyways, you will pronounce the word "the" as [dhi] not [di or du], remember, its soft D (putting out your tongue a little bit). Maybe the reason why your confused is that sometimes native speakers tend to talk fast, the words are sometimes overlapping and one more thing, because of what we call American slanguages, which is a kind of language occuring chiefly in casual and playful speech, and sometimes they tend to pronounce the word in a different way.
