As I have experienced many relevant railway projects, I strongly feel some catalyst is needed to connect and consolidate the relationship between my original major of transportation engineering and urban and regional planning, which will result in a positive synergy in the future. I have been seeking the connecting piece of the puzzle between my work experiences and the theoretical knowledge of planning.
Finally, my professional goal is to be a specialist in domestic and overseas business, especially the official development assistance(ODA), in the railway sector. In this regard, the MSc program in Urban and Regional Planning will grant me the opportunities to acquire fundamental knowledge and analyzing skills on policy-making and feasibility studies.
As a researcher of policy and planning in the railway sector at KR since 2010, I have studied the revision of the Railway Investment Evaluation Manual at KR.
