The proper purpose of school education is to encourage students to be human being. In this sense, the supervised night self-study is problematic because its educational means indicate the coercion of studying and unquestioning obedience. Moreover, the program provides students with less free time with their friends and family and limitation of students’ right to autonomous learning. Most people who succeed in their lives have social skills by spending much time with their friends and family than studying all night long. That is, the implementation of night self-study is not beneficial in students’ future. For example, it is easy to find someone who has a problem with interaction with others, and also discover that most of people like him/her only had studied in the school before. On the contrary, people who spent hanging out with various friends or having great time with their family have no problem with whatever they do.
