Here are the answers to your questions
1. In the past, we used to have our national examination tests; the NCEE ( National College Entrance Exam) and then it was changed to NSAT (National Secondary Achievement Test) If I am not mistaken, My batch was the last group to take the NSAT because it was abolished by the government and each universities can provide their own entrance examination for incoming students.
2. Majority of our student\'s population do not go to cram schools. Only those who want to improve and maintain their grades on certain subjects, and those who really lack of understanding to a specific class and mostly, that is Mathematics.
3. I think we compete on ourselves. if a student wants to excel in her class, she/he must strive hard to get that position but we do not compete on another student to enter in a university.
