The Age of Driving Responsibility

Last week, I heard a shocking news of a car accident caused by some teenagers. The teenager who drove the car didn't have a driver's license. He drove the car in the high way and crashed into the guard rail, killing himself and the other two teenage passengers at the backseats. One consolation in sadness is that there were no more injured people because of the accident. We heard this kind of news time to time, and this clearly shows that teenagers are not very responsible when it comes to driving cars. I was a teenager once, so I understand the urge to have a car, but I also know that teenagers should know the danger of driving carelessly. Letting them have driver's licences at the age of 16 means that the law trusts teenagers are responsible enough to drive cars. It is obvious, however, many teenagers are not fully committed to driving carefully. Therefore, we shouldn't let the teenagers to get driver's licences in their early age.
