Long long years ago there was not digital clock. Therefore at church the person who ring the bell and the villagers will think 'it is lunch time it', 'is dinner time'.
I think it was really difficult living with out knowing the corret time.
Compare to long ago it is really easy living these days.

Hi there MIN!
I agree with what you said. It\'s really difficult to live not knowing the real or exact time but then their lifestyle before was very simple so time didn\'t really affect their lives that much--I think^_-
In the olden timed times, they used the sundial to determine the time. Sundial is an instrument that indicates the time of the day by means of the positioning of the shadow of the \"gnomon\" as it is casted bu the sun.
I don\'t have a sand clock or hourglass at home. It\'s not really common nowadays but you can find one in souvenir shops, specialty shop, etc.
Why? Do you have one at home, Min?
Thank you for this composition. It makes me feel good that you keep on composing essays or homeworks like this. So keep going.^__^ It even helps you improve your grammar and vocabulary skills.
See you in class.
