The importance of body language

As a language learner, there are several difficulties when I speak in an unfamiliar language. First, because of the lack of understanding, It\'s easy to make grammar lapses and inappropriate expressions. Second, because language represents a certain culture, It\'s challenging to catch up the original nuance for the foreigners. For those reasons, unfortunately, It\'s difficult to express somethings that I want to speak. But there is a semi-master key to solve this problem. If we are not familiar with using verbal elements, then we can use non-verbal elements! It\'s a really powerful strategy. Because people share common facial expressions, tones, and postures in certain but critical situations. Also, We feel common emotions in a casual situation so, we can predict the counterpart\'s needs even though we can\'t speak in each other\'s language. I\'ve talked with the sandwich shop staff who can\'t speak in English nor in Korean. The process was a bit rough, but the sandwich he made was delicious!
