-I had been japan, three years ago with my friends. We had a blast! -I married last year, so i went Jeju for honeymoon. There are different types of mountins, beachs. very beutiful!! What is difference between I had been Japan and I went Japan??

Here\'s the difference:

I went to Japan.

Simple past tense: the action is already done.

If you will try to answer a question: Where did you go last vacation?

Then your answer would be: I went to Japan last vacation.

I had been in Japan.

This sentence is not grammatically correct.

\"had been\" is in past perfect continuous.

Coming from the the word past, it is already done but from the word continuous, it needs to have another action.

Example: I had been visiting Japan for three years before I got married.

Correct sentences should be: I have been to Japan.

Has / have been to refers to a place which someone has visited at some time in their life. In other words, has been to refers to an experience that involves travel. The form has / have been to always indicates that the person has returned or is no longer there.

-I had been japan, three years ago with my friends.
We had a blast!
>> Me and my friends visited Japan three years ago and we had a blast.

-I married last year, so i went Jeju for honeymoon.

>> I got married last year and we had our honeymoon in Jeju Island.
