What is your purpose of applying for an U.S. VISA? Why are you going to the States?

A.) I\'m applying for a U.S. Visa because I need to attend a visiting scholar program in the US.

 
Why are you participating in the program?

A)I am a dermatologist in the Catholic University of Korea. You know, physicians (optional: sometimes) go on a visiting scholarship. I am going to the States for my sabbatical.

OR: A.) I am a dermatologist in the Catholic University of Korea and sometimes, physicians need to attend a visiting scholar program in another country.

Which University will you go to?
A) I will go to the University of California, Irvine.

Why did you choose the University?

A.) I chose that university because of Dr. [Name].

How did you find out him?

A) Dr. [Name] have been in Korea for one of his lectures. It was very impressive and his long term goal is the same with

mine that\'s why I chose to visit him.

A) Dr. [Name] is a PhD., and his major is cell biology, however, he has been working in a dermatology Lab for a long time. And his current research work is oriented to skin and hair stem cells. The collaboration between physicians and PhD is a research trend these days.

OR: A.) Dr. [Name] have been in Korea for his lectures. It was very impressive and we have the same long term goals in our chosen field. He is a PhD and his major is Cell Biology however, he has been working in a dermatology laboratory for a long time. His current research is oriented to skin and hair stem cells. It is a trend these days that a physician and PhD collaborate together.

*** I am not that familiar with several American idioms and expressions, but I am knowledgeable where it matters, which is in the field of dermatology. I can understand and explain dermatology terms in English.
