When I was a junior high or high school student, I've never had a native English teacher. I had teacher who had definately Korean accent when they speak in English. I met a native speaker as my teacher when I got into my university. I was very shocked since I couldn't understand what she was saying and, of course, I counldn't communicate with her. Her prononciation was considerably different from my teachers'. Learning foreign languages is not a studying. Speaking a language is a habit. So, we need to be exposed the environment we can practice in order to master a new language unless they are studying literature professionaly.
