I couldn’t agree with this more as I saw the words. Regardless of doing something good or bad, most human behaviours are motivated by several types of addiction. 
Once you got any satisfaction, you would want to try to do it again and again. Doing useless things with a smartphone could be the simplest example of addiction. 
However, we can see more variety actions based on the mechanism of addiction. Because this can also make us happy or achieve goals. A small praise when a kid plays an instrument can give a huge impact to be a great player. Joyful and warmhearted experiences let you want to be more with your family and friends.
Sometimes, we can see people who are challenging to achieve new things which haven’t been experienced. However, we can look at them from different views. They might be addicted to the feelings coming from conquering it by their efforts.
Without an additive mind eggering mental or physical satisfaction, they would hardly find the reason for life.
