DDockguk is the main dish Koreans must eat on New Year\'s Day. There is an idiom that we could\'t get ages if we didn\'t have traditional soup called Ddockguk. As many people know, Korea has a different age counting system as other countries. All people in our nation get ages on January 1 and we would be a year old right after we were born. We don\'t care about the birthday when we count the ages. Koreans put on the HanBok and bow to the ancestor, parents and relatives. There is special ceremony before we have meals with all relatives. We show our respect to all our relatives who already passed away, and then we have a friendly talk. After that, we play the traditional games such as, Yutnori. That\'a all we did on New year\'s day.
