What are some common situations when people are sometimes dishonest?

A simple lie can be snowballing. In many cases, we tend to start telling a small lie without giving a discreet thought to simply avoid an embarrassed situation momentarily or to make an excuse for things that you have not done well or right. Once you begin lying, the situation can develop to the level that becomes out of your control and it won’t allow you to find the right timing to tell the truth. If it evolves that way, you cannot stop and you are forced to keep fabricating the story. A little lie leads to a bigger lie to cover the earlier one. And you might end up in the situation that it’s too late for you to tell the truth. Mostly people are dishonest to get some instant benefit, however, they will have to pay off for that in the end. Dishonesty is only justified when it is done not to hurt anyone like telling a lie which can benefit a person in anyway and truth will be bad for them. Let's believe that honesty will win in the end although sometimes reality is not like that.
